This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +3 more states.
• Recognize and pursue emerging industry trends to propel future growth in new markets.
• Set key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress toward growth objectives, reporting results to the Executive Team.
• Collaborate with the Executive Team on the effective selection, utilization, and oversight of consulting firms to support revenue strategies.
• Create and implement a comprehensive revenue strategy that aligns with ACDC’s mission, values, and long-term objectives.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities in emergency management, disaster recovery, health and human services, logistics, and business continuity.
• Enhance and expand strategic partnerships with federal, state, and local government entities, non-profit organizations, and private sector partners.
• Develop and fortify relationships with industry partners.
• Oversee the Business Development budget.
• Build and lead a high-performing business development and sales organization, which includes Account Management, Capture, and Proposal teams.
• Design and implement scalable account management structures to boost client satisfaction and retention as ACDC expands.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop revenue-driven account executives and business development staff dedicated to compassionate, community-focused service.
• Lead the Go/No-Go and Strategic Pipeline Process.
• Manage corporate implementation and utilization of CRM tools.
• Advocate for ACDC’s market differentiation as a woman-owned, empathy-driven consulting firm.
• Collaborate with Marketing to enhance go-to-market messaging, proposals, and thought leadership that embodies ACDC’s values.
• Remain updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and policy changes to keep ACDC at the forefront.
• Work in conjunction with Operations, Finance, and Program Delivery to ensure that revenue growth is both profitable and strategically aligned.
• In collaboration with our Marketing and Communications Division, create a Conference/Trade Show strategy that is connected to the revenue strategy and ensures favorable ROI.
• Develop corporate business development training and guidance materials.
• Lead our Proposal Teams in close coordination with service line SMEs and the Marketing team on responses to formal RFP/RFI/RFQs and proactive, unsolicited proposals based on market intelligence and relationships built by the VP/BD and other organizational leaders.
• Collaborate closely with the Project Management Office (PMO) to ensure smooth transitions from business development to project delivery and long-term client engagement.
• Act as a key advisor to the C-Suite on strategic decisions related to growth, client relationships, and business development priorities.
• Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or account management.
• At least 5–8 years in senior sales leadership roles with direct accountability for revenue generation.
• Experience in supporting government contracting or public sector procurement.
• Proven experience managing:
• - Multi-million-dollar revenue targets.
• - Complex sales cycles.
• - Enterprise or government/public sector accounts.
• - Cross-functional pursuit teams.
• Demonstrated history of:
• - Meeting or surpassing annual sales targets.
• - Developing strategic client relationships.
• - Leading teams through growth and scaling phases.
• Experience in formulating and executing sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives.
• Proven track record in hiring, coaching, and managing sales and account management teams.
