This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Promote Thermo Fisher’s CGT instruments, reagents, and workflow solutions.
• Develop and implement territory and account strategies within Boston/Cambridge and New England.
• Identify, prioritize, and cultivate high-growth and emerging accounts.
• Map stakeholders and establish multi-level relationships across Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Executive leadership.
• Conduct outbound prospecting, referrals, events, and partner-led activities to generate opportunities and create a qualified pipeline.
• Progress opportunities through discovery, technical qualification, demonstrations, ROI development, decision processes, competitive strategy, and closing.
• Comprehend customer processes, challenges, and strategic initiatives, translating them into solutions for scale-up and manufacturing readiness.
• Coordinate resources from FAS, applications, service, R&D, marketing, manufacturing, and legal for demos, evaluations, technical discussions, and proposals.
• Maintain CRM pipeline integrity and forecasting accuracy, communicating progress, risks, and requests during weekly reviews.
• Lead cross-functional deal teams through complex opportunities, aligning technical strategy, commercial terms, supply considerations, and contracts.
• Collaborate across divisions and geographies within a global matrixed environment to provide customer value and meet growth targets.
• Bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree (MS/PhD/MBA) is preferred.
• Over 8 years of experience in life sciences.
• Sales experience is highly preferred, with a proven track record in prospecting, building pipelines, advancing opportunities, and closing complex multi-stakeholder deals.
• Knowledge of Cell & Gene Therapies (CGT) domain, including clinical manufacturing workflows, stakeholder groups, and the regulatory/quality landscape.
• Practical understanding of the therapy lifecycle from discovery through process development, scale-up, tech transfer, clinical manufacturing, and commercial readiness as applicable.
• Background in immunology and/or cell biology, or relevant applied experience supporting these customer environments is preferred.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% as necessary.
• Excellent customer-facing communication and executive presentation skills.
• Capability to translate technical value into business outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close deals.
• Strong business and financial acumen, including experience in building business cases, sizing opportunities, prioritizing accounts, and data-driven territory planning.
• Experience in introducing new technologies and seeding markets through prospecting, thought-leader engagement, internal alignment, and partner collaboration.
• Strong operating rhythm and accountability, exemplifying business reviews, forecasts, written updates, and CRM/funnel discipline.
