This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• The Business Development Manager (BDM) serves as the primary liaison between TechData's customers and suppliers.
• The BDM is tasked with executing the strategies set by suppliers.
• The BDM oversees the entire sales process, aiming to enhance revenue, net gross profits, and customer satisfaction by fostering strong relationships with key individuals in the supplier organization and partners.
• Develop, create, and implement initiatives specific to suppliers and vendors.
• Engage with channel partners and vendors.
• Responsible for execution tasks such as credit management, order processing, and accounts receivable collections.
• Ensure operational excellence through effective pipeline management, forecasting, and inventory oversight.
• Gain insights from current BDMs about market potential and focus on expanding the market base.
• Collaborate with channel partners to enhance sales skills and assist in closing deals through direct involvement and coaching.
• Work with suppliers to coordinate technical and sales training for partners on new products and technologies.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• A Master's or Postgraduate Degree in a Sales-related field is preferred.
• A Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or Business-related field is required.
• Capable of following instructions and seeking clarification when necessary.
• Possesses fundamental clerical and data entry skills.
• Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Capable of accurately identifying and addressing important details with efficiency.
• Strong communication skills to convey necessary information clearly.
• Proficient in conversing and writing effectively in English.
• Able to design and deliver formal presentations.
• Skilled in negotiation, persuasive idea promotion/selling, and closing transactions for mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with a focus on completing tasks.
• Able to work constructively under stress and pressure, especially during high workloads and tight deadlines.
• Committed to maintaining and promoting social, ethical, and organizational standards in all internal and external business activities.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Able to keep sensitive information confidential.
• Proficient in building effective working relationships with others.
• Sensitive to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others.
• Quick to learn new systems and technologies.
• Able to use relevant computer applications at a basic level.
