This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create and implement a regional growth strategy aimed at utility and heavy industrial sectors.
• Identify forthcoming capital projects, such as substations, transmission enhancements, grid modernization efforts, and industrial expansions.
• Position the company's solutions early within the project lifecycle.
• Monitor and manage project pipelines spanning a 12 to 36-month timeline.
• Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with utility engineering and procurement teams, EPC firms, engineering consultants, industrial plant managers, and electrical engineers.
• Serve as a trusted advisor on system reliability, power quality, and grid compliance solutions.
• Ensure a top-tier customer experience.
• Lead the technical positioning of solutions for STATCOM/SVC, reactive power solutions, HV/MV substation-class capacitor banks, sub-cycle transfer and disconnect switches, and grid modernization products.
• Work in partnership with engineering teams to create proposals and bid strategies.
• Assist with RFP/RFQ responses and commercial negotiations.
• Keep track of interconnection queues, capital budgets, regulatory filings, and infrastructure investments.
• Recognize competitive threats and market gaps.
• Provide quarterly revenue forecasts and territory reports.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (Electrical Engineering preferred) or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 10+ years of experience in electrical utility sales, Oil & Gas/Petro-Chem, heavy industrial power systems, or T&D equipment sales.
• Demonstrated success in closing multi-million dollar capital equipment transactions.
• Strong knowledge of static and dynamic reactive power compensation.
• Solid understanding of transmission and distribution systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge of substation design and equipment.
• Familiarity with utility procurement processes.
• Ability to manage lengthy sales cycles of 6 to 24 months.
• Experience in selling FACTS devices (STATCOM/SVC), HV/MV capacitor banks, and substation automation is preferred.
• Knowledge of NERC, FERC, IEEE, and utility standards is preferred.
• Understanding of EPC bidding structures and interconnection processes, including ERCOT, CAISO, and PJM, is preferred.
• Experience with CRM systems, including Salesforce, is preferred.
