This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Cultivate robust relationships with current clients to enhance trust, expand business opportunities, and facilitate long-term growth between both organizations.
• Identify, pursue, and secure new business prospects within biotech, pharmaceutical, academic, and governmental entities in the designated territory.
• Develop and maintain business opportunities with new clients in the region by supporting their ongoing and prospective programs.
• Collaborate and coordinate with Aldevron’s internal sales and technical support teams to continually improve the sales and business development process to optimally assist Aldevron’s clients.
• Regularly deliver precise and current forecasts, providing insights into new revenue opportunities, projecting revenue recognition for both the quarter and the year, along with daily data input/tracking and managing opportunity and sales pipeline information in the CRM system.
• A minimum of a B.S. degree in a scientific discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a client-facing sales position within the life sciences sector, preferably with experience in the biopharma industry focusing on cell and gene therapy client segments, demonstrating a proven record as a top performer.
• A comprehensive technical understanding of molecular and cell biology, with the capability to articulate workflows related to biotherapeutics, including nucleic acids, gene editing, DNA plasmids, mRNA therapeutics, viral vector technologies, CAR-T, and more.
• A minimum of 1 year of sales experience within Contract Development and/or Contract Manufacturing Organizations supporting Cell and Gene Therapies, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in sales related to the clinical drug development process, including familiarity with call points, sales cycles, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the Biotech and Pharma sectors focused on Cell and Gene Therapy, or equivalent experience.
