This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• The Business Development Manager will collaborate with the Head of Distribution and the Underwriting team to create regional business strategies aimed at fostering growth, optimizing our products and programs, generating new opportunities, and retaining renewals.
• The Business Development Manager will execute planned brokerage visits within a designated territory to cultivate new accounts, service current accounts, assess broker performance, and enhance the broker relationship with Converge.
• The Business Development Manager aids the Head of Distribution and Underwriting team by reinforcing Converge’s product appetite, coverage options, pricing, claims handling, and security service capabilities.
• Responsible for ensuring brokers’ satisfaction with Converge products and capabilities and connecting brokerage contacts to the appropriate Converge resources, including underwriting, claims, and security services.
• The Business Development Manager will track performance, identify trends, ensure partner alignment, and provide guidance to brokers during periodic reviews.
• The Business Development Manager collaborates with the Head of Distribution and the Director of Cyber Risk Solutions on the successful execution of partnered insurance program initiatives, from lead generation to Go-to-Market strategy.
• Up to 25% travel may be required, depending on location.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales and underwriting, specifically in placing commercial cyber insurance and/or technology or cybersecurity.
• A self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong presentation capabilities.
• Capacity to grasp technical concepts and terminology.
• Proficient in managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
