• Pipeline organized by sector, covering logistics, travel, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, and professional services.
• Consistent month-over-month growth in client wallet share for existing accounts.
• Gathering market intelligence: analyzing competitor rates, assessing corridor demand, and identifying client pain points to inform product and treasury teams.
• Represent Onboard at industry conferences and in-market promotional activities.
• Mentor and develop one junior Business Development hire by the sixth month.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in B2B sales or business development within a cross-border payments, foreign exchange, or fintech company — not just related fields.
• Proven track record of generating over $500k in monthly volume, with the ability to substantiate these figures on a client-by-client basis.
• Proficient in discussions around rates: understanding spreads, margins, and the importance of declining unfavorable deals.
• Methodical pipeline organizer — sector-segmented, TPV forecasted, and operationally disciplined.
• Located in Africa, with a preference for candidates in Lagos, Accra, or Nairobi.
