This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements for CMM data products and analytics.
• Create and maintain Source-to-Target Mappings, workflows, and documentation of data requirements.
• Lead stakeholder workshops, working sessions, and governance meetings.
• Record decisions and action items from meetings.
• Convert statutory, operational, and reporting needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in coordinating data governance and ensuring alignment with standards, policies, and stewardship decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineers and architects to validate data models, transformations, and reporting logic.
• Integrate data classification, security, and access control considerations into requirements.
• Aid in test planning, validation of results, and user acceptance testing.
• Generate and maintain Agile artifacts, such as backlogs, user stories, and traceability matrices.
• Contribute to the ingestion of the metadata catalog by defining business definitions and data attributes.
• Assist with training, documentation, and communication for users of CMM data products.
• Maintain documentation that is audit-ready, version-controlled, and compliant with SOW requirements.
• Function within an Agile federal delivery environment supporting multiple scrum teams.
• Work in partnership with business owners, data engineers, architects, and governance teams.
• Ensure the accuracy of requirements, traceability, documentation quality, and timely deliverables.
• MA/MS degree with 5+ years or BS/BA degree with 7+ years of general experience in information systems, including 5+ years of specialized experience.
• Experience may be considered in place of a degree.
• Proficiency in assisting with testing, writing acceptance criteria, and validating test case results.
• Proven track record of producing current requirements, sizing user stories, and eliminating roadblocks prior to sprint commencement.
• Demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise IT or data programs.
• Experience in supporting cloud data platforms, analytics, or data initiatives.
• Strong skills in requirements management, data analysis, and documentation.
• Experience working in federal or regulated environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in supporting federal judiciary or justice-related programs.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality practices.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or AWS S3/Redshift/QuickSight.
• Experience in supporting statutory or compliance-driven reporting.
• Experience in mentoring or acting as a lead analyst.
• Proficiency in SQL for read-only analysis.
• Familiarity with STTM and data mapping tools.
• Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QuickSight.
• Extensive experience with Jira and Confluence for backlog management and documentation purposes.
• Familiarity with the architecture of cloud-based data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, or data warehouses.
• Knowledge of data engineering, integration, migration, archiving, disaster recovery, and related tools and services.
• Preferred certifications include CBAP or CCBA, PMI-PBA, or SAFe Agilist.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to engage with high-level customer stakeholders and establish customer relationships.
• Experience in identifying and implementing industry tools, solutions, methods, best practices, and emerging technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
