Business Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Deliver data analysis and reporting solutions to various business units to support operational objectives.

• Collaborate with business units, compliance teams, and project groups to establish reporting requirements, templates, and schedules.

• Identify suitable reporting methods, which may include ad-hoc, scheduled, and real-time reporting.

• Execute reporting from both new and existing datasets while ensuring data integrity.

• Assist in the creation and architecture of new datasets.

• Query various data sources using SQL, develop ETLs, and create Power BI and SSRS reports and dashboards.

• Analyze the root causes of errors, communicate issues, and escalate system problems to the Business Unit Manager.

• Investigate and assess additional technical capabilities.

• Adhere to compliance timelines and accuracy standards.

• Manage escalations until resolution is achieved.

• Conduct project and technical root cause analyses to uncover improvement opportunities.

• Identify, monitor, communicate, and resolve technical debt.

• Define, develop, and assess performance metrics, and review data post-implementation.

• Participate in or lead change management initiatives for process enhancements, aligning them with business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of three years of experience in healthcare, primarily focused on Data Analysis, Database Development, or Database Administration.

• Background in a Managed Care environment is a plus.

• Familiarity with Managed Care Applications or core healthcare systems such as EzCap, IDX, Epic, FACETS, or NextGen is beneficial.

• Experience with SSIS, Power Apps, and Power Automate is advantageous.
