This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the onboarding process for new 401(k), profit sharing, defined contribution, and ESOP clients as assigned.
• Collect necessary data and establish new clients in internal systems.
• Facilitate a seamless transition from Sales to the Onboarding and Plan Administration teams.
• Collaborate with advisors, CPAs, recordkeepers, and investment firms to carry out onboarding tasks.
• Track onboarding timelines while proactively resolving delays, risks, or missing information.
• Manage investment company conversions for current clients.
• Prepare, examine, and distribute plan documents, amendments, and updates.
• Ensure adherence to IRS, DOL, ERISA, and SECURE/SECURE 2.0 regulations.
• Work with internal technical specialists on regulatory updates and document modifications.
• Greet new clients and referral sources, emphasizing Blue Ridge’s value and service model.
• Engage in discussions with clients and advisors to assist with onboarding and document requirements.
• Adhere to established workflows to maintain consistency, quality, and compliance.
• Identify areas for enhancing processes, tools, and client experiences.
• Deliver prompt and professional communication to clients, advisors, and internal partners.
• 3–5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration (TPA experience is essential)
• In-depth understanding of 401(k) plan design and compliance criteria
• Proven experience in reviewing various documents, including intricate and customized plan documents
• Familiarity with onboarding procedures
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Ability to maintain a distraction-free work environment, a professional workspace, and a reliable high-speed internet connection.
• Preferred QKA, QKC, or other ASPPA credentials (or progress toward certification)
• Experience with FT William document software
• Proficiency in working with diverse recordkeeping platforms
