Business Applications Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage the Business Applications (BizApps) team, overseeing the administration of IT-deployed applications, integration development, and AI agent implementation.

• Establish team priorities, effectively balancing daily requests, escalations, integration/AI development projects, and long-term platform enhancements.

• Act as a hands-on leader for intricate builds, architectural decisions, and high-priority cross-functional initiatives.

• Take charge of the administration and lifecycle management of applications (e.g., Jira).

• Develop and sustain governance related to permissions, roles, licensing, and access models.

• Design and execute workflows, automations, custom fields, and reporting frameworks.

• Architect, supervise, and/or build custom integrations utilizing AWS services for complex requirements.

• Cultivate relationships with third-party development contractors and vendors.

• Design, construct, and deploy AI agents throughout the AI platform stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in IT, business systems administration, or systems engineering, including leadership experience.

• Profound hands-on experience managing enterprise SaaS platforms at scale (e.g., Jira/Atlassian suite is essential).

• Practical experience in building and overseeing integrations on an IPaaS platform (Workato experience is highly preferred).

• Proven track record of developing custom integrations/middleware using AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, EventBridge, etc.).

• Hands-on experience in building or deploying AI agents on an enterprise AI platform (Glean, Claude, Gemini, AWS Bedrock).

• Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, data models, and integration patterns (REST, event-driven architecture).

• Experience in managing external contractors/vendors for custom development projects.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management.
