This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and revise contract frameworks and templates for digital distribution agreements, licensing contracts, and tailored client and partner arrangements.

• Analyze, edit, and assist in negotiating agreements, escalating unique or high-risk concerns to the Director.

• Work with internal stakeholders to grasp business requirements and integrate them into contractual provisions.

• Oversee legal workflows and contract lifecycle updates using Monday.com or other project management platforms.

• Monitor contract projects and provide progress reports to the Director and relevant teams.

• Perform entity verification, KYC/KYB diligence, sanctions/PEP screening, and identity verification across U.S. and international registries.

• Assist the Legal and Finance departments with deal diligence and offer insights on contracting parties, rights ownership, client history, and account details.

• Support legal and operational initiatives, research, documentation, and compliance projects.

• Ensure consistency in legal terminology and formatting throughout documents.

• Keep organized records of templates, revisions, and executed agreements.

• Investigate and analyze emerging laws and industry practices regarding operations, contracting, copyright, improper conduct, and other legal issues.

• Communicate with internal stakeholders about legal policies, processes, and procedures.

• Provide assistance on escalated legal issues.

• Regularly update the Director on the status of contracting activities.

• Carry out additional projects identified by the Business and Legal Affairs Team.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.

• Three years of post-graduate experience in business and legal affairs, contracts, or a transactional setting.

• Proficiency with contract, project, and business management tools such as Monday.com, Dropbox, Google Workspace, and HubSpot.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail.

• Strong time management skills with the capability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-driven and proactive, demonstrating a strong sense of ownership and initiative.

• Ability to accept feedback, adapt swiftly, and take on increasing responsibility for projects.

• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in specific subject areas.

• Capacity to collaborate effectively with a distributed team in a remote work setting.

• High ethical standards and sound judgment when dealing with confidential or sensitive information.

• Current resident of Georgia, North Carolina, or Tennessee.

• Having a J.D. or Paralegal Certificate with relevant experience is a plus.

• Experience in the music, entertainment, or technology sectors is advantageous.

• Familiarity with music licensing, intellectual property, copyright, and digital distribution is a bonus.

• Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.

• One or more years of experience drafting distribution agreements, music licensing agreements, or similar commercial contracts is advantageous.
