Business and Financial Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Deliver professional business support and take charge of straightforward to moderately intricate assignments.

• Utilize technical and operational expertise to address financial and business challenges.

• Contribute to the successful completion of projects and programs by collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Oversee the development of cost proposals, ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

• Formulate cost structures and pricing strategies.

• Monitor project budgets independently to ensure accuracy.

• Examine budget forecasts to spot discrepancies and suggest corrective measures.

• Prepare and evaluate monthly financial reports.

• Work in conjunction with Program Managers, Procurement, and Human Resources.

• Serve as a connector between technical teams, financial operations, and other departments.

• Supervise small teams on lower-complexity project tasks, providing guidance and support.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent work background.

• Strong understanding of financial principles, concepts, and tools, with the capacity to apply them to moderately complex tasks.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, with experience in designing and analyzing complex spreadsheets.

• Experience in a government contracting setting or familiarity with DoD regulations is preferred.

• Knowledge of cost proposal development and financial forecasting tools (e.g., TM1) is preferred.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently is preferred.

• Effective communication and collaboration skills, maintaining a professional demeanor is preferred.

• Proven ability to lead small teams and manage lower-complexity project tasks is preferred.
