Business Analytics Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist credit unions and internal users in generating reports as part of end-user engagement processes.

• Investigate data inquiries and issues, providing reporting solutions to the BI Analysts when defects are identified or enhancements are necessary.

• Create and develop new reports to address intricate business challenges.

• Develop and maintain educational resources and training materials.

• Conduct internal and external training sessions.

• Advocate for and promote analytic tools, methodologies, and conceptual frameworks by illustrating pathways to enhanced business intelligence and decision-making.

• Define and implement processes within the product lifecycle and iterative design for new work products (reports, educational resources, engagement strategies).

• Engage in formal projects to produce a project definition/initiation document that clearly outlines the scope and objectives; gather, document, and prioritize business requirements, assess business risks, and transition from requirements to solutions and implementation principles.

• Gather, assess, and synthesize data and information from diverse sources, identify actual user needs, and document new concepts or remediation strategies.

• Develop use cases and carry out test scripts for user acceptance testing processes.

• Identify, create, and support business implementation and readiness tasks, minimizing risks and addressing end-user adoption challenges.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Data Science, Applied Math, Business Intelligence, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• A minimum of three (3) years of product service/support or client relationship experience in the financial services industry is required.

• At least two (2) years of experience in a Data Analyst or Business Analyst role, with expertise in large data sets, trend identification, and relational databases is required.

• Two (2) years of experience with data delivery or analytic tools/applications is preferred.

• A fundamental understanding of the credit union and financial services industries, including the roles of processors, payment networks, and key components of the payments ecosystem such as card management, card and ACH transactions, rewards, and fraud mitigation is essential.

• Extensive knowledge of one or more of the specified subject areas is preferred.

• A proven track record of strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.

• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools.

• Proficiency in reading SQL language.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple work streams, meet established goals, and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

• Proven self-starter capabilities and the ability to work effectively within a matrix or cross-functional team setting.

• Strong communication skills in both verbal and written forms with internal staff and client personnel (typically Business Analysts, Data Owners, Data Delivery Solution Owners, business, and operational staff) through interviews or indirect channels.

• Occasional travel may be required.
