Business Analyst – Transportation, Tolling Industry

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collect and document business requirements by utilizing insights from Product Managers, clients, industry specialists, competitive analysis, customer contracts, and industry publications.

• Conduct stakeholder interviews to discern business needs and logically document requirements using established templates and methodologies.

• Collaborate with Product Managers and Project Managers to prioritize and record business requirements.

• Work closely with Development and Testing teams to ensure that functional specifications are in alignment with business requirements and customer expectations.

• Provide support to the development team by assisting with various technical documentation.

• Secure approval for business requirements and design documents from clients.

• Document non-functional requirements, including security, performance, and scalability aspects.

• Assist the development team with technical documentation and liaise with QA teams to ensure thorough testing processes.

• Track and document any changes made to functional and business specifications.

• Help in creating user documentation, instructions, and procedural guidelines.

• Oversee project timelines and coordinate with external partners as necessary.

• Monitor and document any issues that arise post-implementation and manage revision requests.

• Handle tickets, stories, and bugs in the JIRA/DevOps ticketing system, while prioritizing tasks in collaboration with the Scrum Master.

• Maintain records of changes to functional and business specifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

• Over 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally in tolling or transportation back-office systems.

• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, Software Development Life Cycle, JIRA, Azure DevOps, and technical documentation.

• Ability to identify problems, gather data, and draw accurate conclusions from both technical and abstract information.
