This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Initiate and sustain communication with facilities to gather patient insurance coverage details.
• Input and refresh insurance data in billing and patient registration systems.
• Confirm patient insurance eligibility and benefits for outpatient kidney dialysis.
• Collaborate with Patient Referral Coordinators to secure registration documentation.
• Work alongside facilities and the Insurance Management Team to address incomplete registrations.
• Analyze registration denials to identify underlying issues.
• Correct patient account discrepancies leading to registration denials.
• Suggest process improvements to avert failed registrations.
• Ascertain Coordination of Benefits and keep patient account information current.
• Submit internal requests to ensure precise and prompt claims submission.
• Complete ancillary reports and assigned projects within specified timeframes.
• Assist Patient Account Representatives and fellow ROPS team members.
• Uphold confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations and DaVita policies.
• Participate in meetings, phone conferences, and training sessions as necessary.
• Be available for overtime work with minimal notice as required.
• Maintain consistent, regular, and punctual attendance as scheduled.
• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• Preferably three years of healthcare reimbursement experience.
• Experience in admissions, billing, and collections is advantageous.
• Familiarity with insurance rules, regulations, and Coordination of Benefits for federal, state, and managed care payors across multiple states is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency is required.
• Required proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.
• Consistent, regular, and punctual attendance as scheduled is required.
• Capability to work overtime with little or no prior notice when necessary.
