This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Establish and maintain robust relationships with business leaders, process owners, and end users within a matrixed environment to ensure that unit requirements align with system capabilities.
• Gain an in-depth understanding of business processes, workflows, and challenges within the designated functional areas.
• Conduct intricate data analysis to detect trends, issues, and opportunities, converting insights into actionable recommendations.
• Diagnose and resolve reporting problems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across various systems and outputs.
• Offer strategic direction on reporting solutions, including the selection and design of tools such as Workday reports, Tableau dashboards, or other platforms to effectively meet business requirements.
• Convert complex business needs into clear functional specifications for system configuration and development.
• Collaborate with WEST teams and vendors to design, implement, test, and deploy system enhancements.
• Spearhead change management initiatives, including impact assessments, communication strategies, and end-user training.
• Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that solutions align with business expectations.
• Monitor business process performance and adoption, proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities for improvement.
• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to deliver sustainable, campus-wide solutions.
• Proven experience in analyzing complex business processes, gathering requirements, and developing business solutions.
• Capability to conduct complex data analysis.
• Experience with ERP data (e.g., Workday), including a strong understanding of data models, relationships, and table structures.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot reporting issues and maintain data accuracy and integrity across systems.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to synthesize data and information into presentations and materials.
• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of methods to analyze business needs and propose relevant solutions, including policy, process, or system enhancements.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with progressively increasing responsibilities, or 3+ years of experience supporting Workday as a Business Analyst.
• Proven track record of leading process improvement projects or initiatives in higher education, government, or other complex organizations.
• Experience in developing or supporting data visualization and reporting solutions (e.g., Workday Reporting, Tableau, or similar tools).
