Business Analyst – Learning Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Czechia.

📋 Description

• This is a fantastic opportunity to become a Business Analyst at Arden University within our Learning Systems team, where you will contribute to enhancing the digital tools that facilitate teaching, learning, and the overall student experience.

• You will collaborate closely with essential stakeholders throughout the University to grasp business requirements and convert them into clear, actionable specifications for our learning systems team.

• Serving as a crucial link between users and technical teams, you will assist in the design and implementation of enhancements to our learning platforms, ensuring that solutions align with genuine user needs and institutional priorities.

• You will take the lead in identifying and documenting process improvements and opportunities for system enhancements, providing decision makers such as VLE administrators, developers, and product owners with precise and accurate analysis.

• Your responsibilities will also include gathering and validating requirements, supporting testing efforts, and ensuring that solutions are smoothly transitioned into live service, including hypercare support when necessary.

• This is a dynamic and fast-paced role where you will play a vital part in driving continuous improvement within Arden’s learning systems, helping to deliver better and more efficient digital experiences for both staff and students.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in Business Analysis within a complex organization, managing fast-paced and overlapping projects.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to interpret complex or incomplete information and identify practical solutions.

• Experience in process mapping and business process re-engineering for intricate enterprise systems.

• Familiarity with Business Analysis techniques, including user stories, use cases, workshops, and focus groups.

• Experience with testing methodologies such as User Acceptance Testing and supporting comprehensive testing activities.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capacity to explain complex systems and influence stakeholders at all levels.

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to cultivate effective relationships and manage competing priorities.

• Experience utilizing process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and requirements management tools (e.g., JIRA).

• Understanding of Higher Education systems and digital learning environments (e.g., VLEs such as Moodle).

• Strong organizational skills, capable of managing a complex and varied workload under tight deadlines.
