This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the workflows of our client, including NAV calculations, investor allocations, capital calls, distributions, and fee calculations.
• Configure and authenticate private equity fund structures — including LP/GP waterfalls, carried interest, clawback mechanisms, and multi-tiered fund hierarchies.
• Assist clients in transitioning from legacy platforms by mapping their data into FundCount's data model.
• Design and verify data interfaces between FundCount and external fund administration systems, prime brokers, and custodians.
• Evaluate clients' investment accounting processes and generate detailed requirement and system configuration specifications.
• Gather and document client business requirements; offer consultative assistance regarding applications and business processes.
• Create data mapping specifications for import/export interfaces between FundCount and third-party investment management systems.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with technical teams; prepare test data and documentation for user acceptance testing.
• Assist the Sales team with proof-of-concept demonstrations and prospect data conversions.
• Offer training and product support to both clients and internal teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Science, Mathematics, Accounting, or Finance.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fund administration or private equity operations, with direct involvement in fund accounting systems and NAV processes.
• Proficient understanding of LP/GP structures, waterfall mechanics, carried interest, capital calls, and distributions.
• Experience in capturing requirements and conducting business analysis for complex financial applications within the alternative fund sector.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with Jira or comparable systems is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to travel approximately 20% for client training sessions.
• Previous experience at a fund administrator, private equity manager, or fintech company serving the alternative investments sector.
• Knowledge of fund administration platforms such as Advent Geneva, Investran, eFront, Yardi, or similar systems.
• Understanding of investor reporting, K-1/tax workflows, or regulatory reporting (AIFMD, Form PF).
