Business Analyst – Finance Transformation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Assist the Programme Manager in strategizing and executing change initiatives throughout the programme.

• Create standardized financial processes and ensure their consistent implementation across HSL entities.

• Formulate the testing strategy and plan, including the development of test scripts and cases that align with the new processes.

• Oversee system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), manage any defects, and obtain stakeholder approvals.

• Lead initiatives for data cleansing and enhancement to prepare data for migration.

• Organize and provide support for cutover activities as entities transition to the new processes and systems.

• Foster strong relationships across Finance, IT, and the broader business, taking on additional responsibilities as the programme develops.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in executing ERP implementation projects.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is preferred, but experience with other ERPs will also be considered.

• In-depth understanding of financial processes.

• Robust hands-on experience in test management, including SIT, UAT, defect management, and test sign-off.

• Confidence to take charge of a workstream and operate independently.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders.

• Capacity to stay organized and efficient in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• A flexible, practical approach coupled with a genuine interest in technology.

• Experience in finance transformation or multi-entity standardization is a plus.

• Background in data cleansing, enhancement, and migration is advantageous.

• An accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA, or a project management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP, or an Agile certification is beneficial; equivalent practical experience is also highly regarded.
