Business Analyst – Digital Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Armenia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the operations platform backlog and roadmap from start to finish, converting operational requirements from Customer Service, Collections, and back-office into a prioritized development agenda.

• Drive significant, cross-functional platform projects from initial discovery through to delivery and subsequent iterations post-launch.

• Perform business and systems analysis with an emphasis on IT integration within banking, encompassing CRM, ticketing, workflow/automation, and back-office systems.

• Make architectural trade-offs by balancing development costs, technical debt, and business impact.

• Create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications Documents (FSDs), specifications, user stories, test cases, and use cases.

• Establish platform metrics, analyze operational and adoption data, and suggest priorities accordingly.

• Oversee the testing strategy, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and work collaboratively with development teams.

• Investigate platform incidents and escalations, identify underlying causes, and initiate sustainable system fixes.

• Manage change processes comprehensively, aligning product and engineering efforts while accepting deliverables.

• Coordinate operations, product, and engineering priorities with senior stakeholders and provide mentorship to junior analysts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a business/systems analyst in fintech, banking, or a digital organization.

• Proven experience with internal platforms or operational systems.

• Demonstrated ownership of large, cross-functional initiatives from discovery through post-launch iterations with minimal oversight.

• Proficient in modeling and re-engineering complex business processes utilizing BPMN, user flows, and use cases.

• Solid understanding of CRM, ticketing, workflow/automation, and back-office integrations through APIs and data flows.

• Capability to assess architectural trade-offs involving development costs, technical debt, and business goals.

• Proficient SQL skills.

• Familiarity with BI dashboards such as Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or similar tools.

• Ability to define metrics and independently validate hypotheses.

• Strong skills in requirements documentation, including BRDs, FSDs, specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test cases.

• Experience managing senior stakeholders across operations, product, and engineering.

• Proficient in English at a B2+ level.

• Nice to have: experience in regulated environments, knowledge of the credit lifecycle, familiarity with Jira/Confluence, exposure to workflow/automation or low-code platforms, and mentoring experience.
