This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Report directly to the Associate University Registrar responsible for Academic Catalogue, Academic Calendar, and Classroom Management and Scheduling.
• Act as a supplementary liaison among the Office of the University Registrar, divisional registrar offices, University technology teams, and contracted services.
• Assist in key areas including catalogue management, academic calendar, scheduling of academic events, and classroom oversight.
• Propose innovative solutions to address business challenges.
• Facilitate data-driven decision-making with a focus on data integration, integrity, mining, analysis, and reporting.
• Provide functional support to the Office of the University Registrar team, collaborate with the University Information Systems team, and contribute to both technical and functional projects.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience.
• Strongly preferred functional experience with Student Information Systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).
• Strongly preferred functional experience with CourseLeaf CAT, CIM, CLSS, or other catalog and curriculum management software.
• Strongly preferred experience with CollegeNET/25Live or other scheduling software.
• Strongly preferred functional experience with OnBase or other document imaging software.
• Knowledge of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) and familiarity with laws, rules, and regulations related to JHU policies is desirable.
• Additional education may be considered in lieu of required experience, and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high school diploma or its equivalent, as allowed by the JHU equivalency formula.
• Capacity to maintain a positive demeanor in high-pressure situations.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and effective communication capabilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
• Adaptable and capable of thriving under pressure; must meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficient in analyzing and resolving issues, including those related to student data.
• Skillful in collaborating and problem-solving regarding process improvements and innovative solutions, as well as overseeing the deployment of new systems or solutions.
• Capable of explaining basic technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to create test cases and supervise user-acceptance testing.
