Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to collect, analyze, refine, and document both business and functional requirements.

• Convert business needs and epics into features, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria.

• Create and implement test plans, test cases, and validation procedures.

• Conduct functional, regression, data validation, usability, and accessibility (508) testing across applications and data systems.

• Identify, document, track, and assist in resolving defects and issues.

• Validate the implemented functionality against acceptance criteria and business expectations prior to release.

• Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including coordination with stakeholders, documentation of results, and tracking issues until resolution.

• Analyze current processes and workflows to discover opportunities for operational improvement, automation, and increased efficiency.

• Assist with testing and validation efforts related to cloud migration and modernization initiatives.

• Generate process flows, requirements documentation, test artifacts, gap analyses, and recommendations.

• Convey requirements, testing outcomes, risks, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree and over 4 years of total experience.

• More than 3 years of experience in supporting business analysis, testing, and quality assurance activities in a federal environment.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.

• Proven experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and functional requirements.

• Background in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and managing defect tracking activities.

• Experience in supporting Agile software development teams and working within Agile methodologies.

• Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar Agile lifecycle management tools.

• Experience in performing functional, regression, data validation, and accessibility (508) testing.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to produce clear, concise documentation and present recommendations to stakeholders.

• Preferred: experience in supporting cloud-based application or data modernization initiatives.

• Preferred: experience with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.

• Preferred: knowledge of Selenium, Postman, or similar test automation tools.

• Preferred: experience in documenting current-state and future-state workflows and conducting gap analyses.

• Preferred: understanding of DevSecOps concepts and CI/CD practices.

• Preferred: local to the Washington, DC metro area.

• Availability for 40 hours of work per week.

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
