Bulgarian VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to phone calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry you are interpreting for, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions occur.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service while interpreting.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Apply established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Bulgarian."

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
