Building Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with the Building Systems Engineering and Customer Success teams to enhance customer value.

• Assist in the onboarding of building systems data.

• Enhance data processing and quality tools.

• Refine Noda’s AI-driven technology.

• Work alongside Customer Success and other Building Systems Engineers to reduce churn and promote renewals.

• Represent the voice of the customer and provide insights for the product roadmap.

• Attain expertise in the Noda platform, Salesforce, Slack, and the building recommendations library.

• Observe client calls and take initiative in account servicing.

• Support new opportunities and work to reduce churn in collaboration with the Commercial team.

• Propel solution improvements and partner with the Product team.

• Cultivate technical knowledge in building performance engineering and financial analysis.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in energy consulting or a related area.

• Extensive knowledge of HVAC/Controls systems, including chillers, boilers, and BMS.

• Capacity to quantify energy savings.

• Strong quantitative skills to model efficiency initiatives and translate system optimizations into verified financial impacts.

• Ability to convey technical concepts as clear business value for both operating and executive customers.

• Skill in building trust, managing relationships, and advocating for customer success.

• Enthusiasm for SaaS, a proactive approach, curiosity about AI and innovation, and strong leadership qualities.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Previous experience in SaaS customer success is preferred as an additional asset.

• Familiarity with SkySpark is preferred as an additional asset.

• Proficiency with agentic AI tools is preferred as an additional asset.
