Building Services Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop mechanical systems for building services, encompassing HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, domestic water services, drainage, and renewable energy solutions.

• Generate mechanical calculations, schedules, specifications, reports, and various technical documentation.

• Create and modify engineering drawings utilizing AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).

• Collaborate with electrical engineers, architects, structural engineers, and other project disciplines to ensure coordination of mechanical services.

• Conduct site surveys, inspections, and participate in design and coordination meetings.

• Address contractor inquiries and evaluate technical submittals throughout the construction phase.

• Aid in commissioning activities, testing, and the project handover process.

• Support the development of tender documentation, design reviews, and project-related documentation.

• Keep accurate project records in line with company quality procedures and ISO standards.

• Integrate sustainable engineering principles and renewable technologies into project designs.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience in designing mechanical building services within a consultancy or similar setting.

• Expertise in designing HVAC and mechanical building services systems.

• Capability to produce engineering calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.

• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM).

• Solid understanding of renewable energy technologies, including heat pumps.

• Experience in supporting commissioning, reviewing technical submittals, and handover processes.

• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

• Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Project).
