This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Perform evaluations of buildings to assess the condition of their systems.
• Offer recommendations for urgent repairs.
• Utilize observations and industry standards to identify future building system replacement needs.
• Execute site reconnaissance, compile and organize data, and conduct project research (historical, regulatory, etc.).
• Write technical reports and create high-quality supporting documents (maps, appendices, etc.).
• Organize, schedule, and monitor project timelines and milestones.
• Report project updates and any challenges to the Project Manager and client.
• Deliver sound recommendations and solutions while considering potential impacts on the transaction.
• A Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Architecture or a related Engineering Field (Civil, Mechanical, etc.).
• Over 3 years of experience in architecture, engineering, and/or construction/cost estimating.
• More than 2 years of experience in conducting property inspections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• A valid driver’s license and ability to provide personal transportation to project sites.
• Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a demonstrated ability to deliver a quality product on time.
• Familiarity with fundamental principles of civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering, including the construction and maintenance of structures and systems.
• Understanding of building component life cycles, system condition assessment, and replacement costs.
