This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +4 more states.
• Oversee all aspects of Routine Projects (60%)
• Assess and review subcontractor bids, providing recommendations for contract awards
• Organize pre-construction activities, including project initiation, kickoff, and contract and subcontract reviews and setup
• Manage construction activities including MOPs, RFIs, and submittals
• Facilitate and support resource and material forecasting
• Develop, manage, and track project schedules
• Lead, schedule, and participate in project meetings (both internal and external)
• Coordinate and execute QA/QC plans and specifications to ensure completion aligns with project scope and applicable guidelines and manuals
• Supervise and coordinate subcontractor and subconsultant activities
• Assist in developing cost and time schedules for proposed work with the support of technical leads
• Assign and schedule tasks for project team members
• Oversee or coordinate start-up, cutover, pre-functional and functional testing, and project closeout
• Monitor and Control Project Financials (15%)
• Prepare, forecast, and track project budgets, profitability, margins, bill rates, and utilization, maintaining overall responsibility for project profitability
• Communicate with clients regarding additional fees/change orders
• Identify potential project risks and devise/implement strategies to mitigate impacts and manage deviations from estimated costs and timelines
• Support and develop cost schedules/schedules of value for client progress billing
• Manage Stakeholder Relations (10%)
• Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and overall marketing efforts for the firm
• Promote the firm’s services and expertise to current and prospective clients
• Maintain client relationships to foster ongoing positive interactions and collaborate with clients to identify and develop new projects
• Act as a support contact for clients, building effective, long-term relationships
• Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication
• Administrative (15%)
• Provide daily reports through narrative and photographic documentation
• Assist with project contract administration
• Manage personal and project hours using company tools
• Create and complete project and departmental reports
• Ensure the timely completion of assigned tasks and deliverables within budget
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Proficient in project management software, including MS Project and Procore
• Knowledgeable in open-source protocols (BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP)
• Skilled in the MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) with exceptional organizational skills for file management
• Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks accurately
• Capable of leveraging AI and emerging technologies to enhance workflows, optimize operational processes, and contribute to company-wide innovation
• Effective in a remote work environment through strong communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness, and resourcefulness in a distraction-free space
• Ability to adhere to company and site safety requirements
• Proficient in analyzing and preparing documents, reports, and correspondence
• Excellent communication skills in both oral and written forms (technical and non-technical information)
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently with moderate supervision
• Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
• Proficient in planning and delegating the work of others
• Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks at once
