• Oversee the complete annual budget planning process, encompassing intake, challenge/validation, scenario analysis, and executive-ready storytelling.
• Sustain budget plans through disciplined governance; compare actuals against plans and translate drivers into clear actions.
• Facilitate the execution of capital expense plans for supported functions through forecasting, funding alignment, and lifecycle tracking.
• Manage quarterly forecast updates and closing activities—ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with changing business priorities.
• Collaborate effectively with the Amgen India team to provide integrated, global budget execution support with shared standards and ongoing improvement.
• Organize and present regular leadership updates featuring clear narratives, risks/opportunities, and decision points.
• Enhance self-service insights by optimizing dashboards and data products to ensure leaders have near-real-time visibility and actionable metrics.
• Offer analytical support on spending, capacity/resource utilization, and variances; identify trends and propose interventions.
• Assist in productivity initiatives and business case development, including benefits realization and KPI design.
• Deliver expert budget execution support throughout the procure-to-pay process; address escalations, bolster controls, and enhance cycle time.
• Doctorate degree.
• Or a Master’s degree along with 3 years of experience in biotech/pharma business operations and/or financial analytics.
• Or a Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in biotech/pharma business operations and/or financial analytics.
• Or an Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience in biotech/pharma business operations and/or financial analytics.
• Or a high school diploma / GED with 12 years of experience in biotech/pharma business operations and/or financial analytics.
• Advanced degree in business, finance, life sciences, or a related field.
• Proven experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and variance/root-cause analysis.
• Familiarity with the drug development process and how R&D organizations translate strategy into portfolios and investment decisions.
• Proficiency with data visualization and collaboration tools (e.g., Tableau, Smartsheet, MS Teams).
• Advanced Excel skills and a strong command of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrated capability to utilize automation and AI-enabled solutions to streamline workflows, enhance controls, and elevate insights.
• Experience with enterprise planning/procurement tools (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Anaplan).
• Ability to work with detailed information and convert complex data into clear, decision-making insights.
• Exceptional communication skills—capable of crafting concise narratives and delivering messages that foster alignment and change.
• Strong relationship-building skills with a customer-service focus and a tendency towards collaborative problem-solving.
