BS/MD Admissions Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assist prospective BS/MD and direct medical program candidates throughout the admissions journey, encompassing school selection, application strategies, essays, resumes, recommendations, timelines, and interviews.

• Aid students in enhancing their academic and extracurricular profiles while crafting effective application materials.

• Guide students in researching and assessing optimal BS/MD, pre-med, and undergraduate programs that align with their aspirations and interests.

• Offer insights and feedback on personal statements, supplemental essays, and interview preparation, ensuring students retain their authentic voice.

• Assist students in project planning, managing application timelines, and tracking progress using internal organizational tools.

• Remain informed about trends in BS/MD, direct medical, pre-med, and undergraduate admissions to provide timely and strategic advice.

⛳️ Requirements

• An MD or DO degree is mandatory.

• Previous experience on an admissions committee at the undergraduate or medical school level is necessary.

• Experience in mentoring high school students, particularly in academic advising or college application assistance.

• Knowledge of BS/MD, direct medical, and pre-med admissions processes, including school selection, application strategies, and interview preparation.

• Demonstrated success in guiding students through competitive undergraduate admissions.

• Strong organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to oversee multiple students and timelines.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
