This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research to identify opportunities and provide analytical insights that support the brokerage team.

• Review and assess submissions to ensure they meet various company guidelines.

• Negotiate terms and requirements for coverage.

• Accurately and promptly issue quotes and bind policies.

• Collect and maintain organized and complete underwriting files.

• Evaluate risks within established authority limits.

• Ensure adherence to carrier guidelines, state regulations, and surplus lines requirements.

• Foster relationships with agents, internal teams, carriers, and external partners to uncover profitable growth opportunities.

• Meet production targets by developing a profitable book of business and increasing policies in force and premium.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders both verbally and in writing.

• Conduct research on agency, carrier, and market data to facilitate informed decision-making.

• Respond to inquiries within established service-level standards.

• Provide guidance to agencies on carriers and products within the specialty and connect agents with relevant resources.


⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of active P&C and Surplus Lines licenses, or the ability to obtain them within 45 days.

• Capable of identifying, evaluating, analyzing, and proposing solutions to insurance needs.

• Knowledge of and compliance with state-specific underwriting statutes, insurance laws, and regulations.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction, influence, and negotiation with both internal and external business partners.

• Ability to learn job-related software proficiently.

• Strong product knowledge and functional/technical skills.

• Proficient in command and consultation skills.

• Possess interpersonal savvy, negotiation, consulting, problem-solving abilities, a drive for results, work handling and measurement, and decision-making quality.

• Flexibility and adaptability in response to changing circumstances.

• A minimum of 2 years of related insurance experience is preferred.

• An undergraduate degree may be considered as a substitute for experience.

• Preferred undergraduate studies in business, risk management, or a related discipline.

• Previous experience in Commercial Lines insurance is preferred.

• Professional designations such as CIC, CPCU, or equivalents are favored.
