This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Design and oversee the network: Set up and maintain the computer systems and network infrastructure that drive our daily operations.
• Connect the dots: Collaborate closely with our engineering team to implement and uphold "crossover" systems that integrate traditional Audio/Video with contemporary IT infrastructure.
• Energize the production: Support and manage the automation systems that ensure our On-Air and Live Production runs seamlessly.
• Secure the perimeter: Assist in the development of strong computer and network security policies to protect our data and broadcasts.
• Stay up-to-date: Oversee software licensing and make sure all systems are current and optimized for maximum performance.
• Support the mission: Serve as a key point of contact for corporate IT and help maintain our internal trouble ticket system, assisting everyone from News and Production to Sales.
• Be where the action is: Provide technical support for remote broadcasts, enabling our team to deliver high-quality content from any location.
• Advanced IT expertise: You possess a thorough understanding of VM systems and Windows Active Directory management.
• Broadcast knowledge: You are familiar with the operations of a broadcast facility and how IT integrates with A/V equipment.
• Troubleshooting skills: You can diagnose issues with computers down to the board level and are willing to engage with hands-on solutions.
• Digital-focused approach: You recognize that in today’s environment, serial and IP communication are essential for media.
• Composed under pressure: You excel in high-stress situations (since news never stops) and can manage the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Relevant qualifications: You hold an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field (or higher).
• Demonstrated experience: You have at least 2 years of experience with Windows OS, email systems, FTP servers, and TCP/IP networking.
• Team-oriented mindset: You are a collaborative team player who can closely work with Chief Engineers, Department Heads, and Corporate IT to achieve goals.
