Bosnian/English OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Have a thorough understanding of the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly healthcare and medical sectors.

• Accurately render all messages in full, without adding, omitting, or substituting any content.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Implement standards of practice consistently.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Bosnian".

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications in the healthcare industry are a benefit (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and the ability to appreciate diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
