Bookkeeping Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct daily and weekly reviews, coding, and publishing of invoices and bills on a cloud-based platform for a portfolio of AMLB’s clients, ensuring the accuracy of essential data fields.

• Record daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, and other entries in QuickBooks Online and Xero.

• Take responsibility for obtaining and uploading bank and credit card statements promptly from clients and conducting self-reviews for accuracy.

• Prepare sales invoices and arrange payments to vendors on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis for a portfolio of AMLB’s clients.

• For all AMLB clients, refresh bank feeds in QBO/Xero or acquire and upload bank statements to QBO/Xero if the bank feed is not operational.

• Periodically compare bank statements with QBO/Xero bank feeds to ensure accuracy.

• Assist in audits as necessary, providing required documentation and support.

• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Assist Cloud Accountants with general bookkeeping-related tasks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role utilizing cloud-based software or possess a bookkeeping/accounting degree.

• Ability to commit for a duration of 2 years.

• Capable of working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Strong communication skills - able to articulate thoughts in English clearly and simply, both in writing and verbally.

• Excellent organizational skills - able to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
