This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Record daily financial transactions, which include purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Maintain ledgers, journals, and various financial records using accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, and Zoho Books.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring to follow up on any missing documents or clarifications.
• Accurately tag transactions for UAE VAT purposes, categorizing them as standard-rated, zero-rated, exempt, or out-of-scope.
• Ensure that all vendor and customer invoices adhere to UAE VAT invoicing regulations.
• Confirm the accuracy of all posted transactions and rectify any discrepancies.
• Organize and keep financial documents in accordance with internal policies.
• Assist in tax preparation by providing comprehensive and accurate financial data.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 to 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience is required, although fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with UAE VAT regulations and a basic understanding of Corporate Tax is advantageous (training will be provided).
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho, and Odoo is a plus.
• Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets are essential.
• A keen attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
