This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• We are seeking a Bookkeeping and Payroll Administrator for our expanding practice. This is a full-time position that is entirely remote. The MYOB Accounting and Bookkeeping Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial records and transactions utilizing MYOB accounting software. This role includes maintaining precise and current accounting records, generating financial reports, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.
• **Key Responsibilities:**
• - **Bookkeeping and Data Entry:**
• - Input financial transactions into the MYOB accounting system, encompassing invoices, payments, expenses, and journal entries.
• - Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
• - **Accounts Payable and Receivable:**
• - Oversee accounts payable processes, which include recording supplier invoices, processing payments, and reconciling vendor accounts.
• - Track accounts receivable to monitor customer invoices, follow up on overdue payments, and manage collections as needed.
• - **Payroll Processing:**
• - Handle payroll transactions, involving employee salary payments, deductions, and statutory contributions.
• - Ensure compliance with tax regulations, superannuation requirements, and other payroll-related responsibilities.
• - **Financial Reporting:**
• - Prepare and generate financial reports utilizing MYOB software, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• - Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, providing insights to management as required.
• - **Tax Compliance:**
• - Aid in the preparation of tax returns, BAS/GST statements, and other statutory filings in accordance with Australian tax laws.
• - Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure precise and timely reporting.
• - **Month-End and Year-End Close:**
• - Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, preparing adjusting entries, and conducting financial analyses.
• - Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as auditors and finance teams, to ensure smooth and accurate financial reporting.
• - **Recordkeeping and Documentation:**
• - Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting records, including both physical and electronic files, in line with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• - Ensure that documentation of financial transactions and processes is accurate, complete, and readily accessible for audit purposes.
• - **Qualifications and Skills:**
• - Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• - Demonstrated experience in accounting and bookkeeping roles, with expertise in using MYOB accounting software.
• - Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• - Familiarity with Australian tax regulations, BAS/GST requirements, and payroll processing.
• - Excellent numerical and analytical abilities, capable of interpreting financial data and generating valuable insights.
• - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• - Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
