This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Gather the necessary information to facilitate the approval and processing of fidelity and commercial surety renewals.
• Liaise with underwriters and agents to acquire essential information.
• Evaluate risk and make final approval and issuance decisions for new and renewal bond policies within a defined authority.
• Accompany the manager on visits to agents and insured clients to gain insights into underwriting and marketing.
• Input, rate, and categorize new bond business and renewals.
• Calculate premiums for all types of bonds.
• Record cancellations and endorsements.
• Prepare, digitize, and organize correspondence received via email, mail, and from underwriters into the computer system.
• Issue and handle status inquiries concerning contract bonds.
• Enter and assist bond underwriters with general indemnity agreements while tracking them.
• Support underwriters by entering financial statements and work-in-progress data into the bond underwriting system.
• Request and collect personal credit reports and Experian reports for both contract and non-contract bond accounts.
• Update relevant systems and notify underwriters of credit report findings.
• Review reports pertaining to both contract and non-contract bonds.
• Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience is required.
• Experience with fidelity and surety bonds is preferred.
• Familiarity with surety and fidelity underwriting terminology, coverage forms, related documents, and procedures is preferred.
• Proficient computer and keyboarding skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent customer service capabilities.
• Good mathematical and bookkeeping skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, even with frequent interruptions.
• Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate strong problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Capability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently.
