Bodily Injury Claims Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide leadership and technical claims support to the claims manager.

• Supervise the work conducted by the Commercial Transportation adjusting team.

• Balance management duties with hands-on claims work when the workload necessitates assistance.

• Alternate between handling claims, providing coaching, and delivering feedback.

• Implement and uphold best practices for claims handling, which includes intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, and recovery.

• Ensure the team's alignment with client and customer expectations regarding the claims process.

• Act as a resource for escalated claims issues.

• Cultivate a positive workplace environment, encourage teamwork, and promote professional growth.

• Attract, recruit, retain, onboard, and train employees with support from the leadership team.

• Prepare and present claims reports, metrics, and analyses to clients and customers.

• Advise clients on claim trends and loss mitigation strategies.

• Serve as the backup leader in the absence of the Manager/Director.

• Function as a subject matter expert for initial inquiries, escalations, and roundtable discussions.

• Identify topics and trends for team huddles and Elevated Claims Experience Workshops.

• Promote a customer-centric approach.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in commercial transportation, specifically in delivery and/or courier claims.

• A minimum of 5 years of insurance claims experience in bodily injury and property damage.

• At least 3 years of leadership experience.

• Active licensure in the home state or designated home state.

• Willingness to obtain all relevant licenses within 45 days of hire.

• Preferred experience in managing within a fully remote or hybrid environment.

• Proven knowledge and successful track record in adjudicating commercial transportation claims.

• Demonstrated ability to inspire, support, and mentor a team.

• Proven capability to utilize technology and analytics effectively.

• Comfort with technology and adaptability to enhance claims systems and processes.

• Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and meticulous attention to detail.

• High levels of integrity, ethics, and accountability when managing confidential and sensitive information.

• Ability to communicate via phone throughout the claims process.

• Capacity to alternate between claims handling, coaching, and providing feedback.

• Agile mindset with the ability to swiftly adjust priorities.

• Proven capability to achieve or exceed goals and navigate challenges.
