Bodily Injury Adjuster – Extended Handler

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations and verify facts related to complex automobile accidents.

• Assess coverage, liability, and damages involved.

• Adjust and negotiate claims within established authority limits.

• Oversee bodily injury claims that require extended handling, ranging from soft tissue injuries to claims of moderate severity.

• Utilize an advanced understanding of insurance policies and organizational dynamics.

• Exercise discretion and independence while managing complex auto claims.

• Review, assess, and negotiate claims related to basic to moderate injuries.

• Identify vehicle body components and assess potential property damage.

• Recognize and address customer needs utilizing effective customer service skills.

• Evaluate the potential for subrogation or fraud and determine the appropriate handling procedures.

• Gain experience through Adjuster II-level responsibilities or rotations into specialized roles.

• Provide support for claims across the Northeastern states.

• No supervisory responsibilities are required.

• Experience in managing bodily injury claims.

• Proficient in interpreting policy language and identifying coverage issues.

• Advanced knowledge of insurance policies.

• Capability to investigate complex automobile claims, including aspects of coverage, liability, and damages.

• Proficient in reviewing, evaluating, and negotiating basic to moderate injury claims.

• Strong customer service skills.

• Familiarity with vehicle body parts and potential property damage.

• Ability to assess subrogation or fraud potential.

• An active adjuster's license is preferred.

• Candidates must reside in states within the eastern or central time zones.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Individuals with an active insurance license must cancel existing appointments prior to onboarding and may not maintain outside appointments during employment.

• Applicants holding a resident producer license must relinquish it when directed by the licensing team.

• A dedicated, distraction-free workspace is required when working remotely.

• Reliable internet connection with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload is essential.
