This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
β’ This position offers a telework opportunity for physicians, allowing you to manage a caseload tailored to your schedule.
β’ Our panel of physicians consists of independent contract reviewers (1099) who are compensated on a per-case basis.
β’ We are seeking specialists listed below who hold an active Texas License to evaluate the medical necessity of treatment requests and, in appeals, the medical necessity of previously denied services.
β’ Most reviews typically take an average of 15-20 minutes, enabling you to complete several cases within an hour.
β’ Training and onboarding can be finished in under one week, allowing you to start earning compensation for reviews while continuing your active practice.
β’ Valid and unrestricted Texas Medical License
β’ Active medical practice
β’ Board Certification in Occupational Medicine
β’ The independent consultant role provides flexibility in your schedule and predictable working hours. You have the freedom to select services and case types, dictate volume, and conduct your work based on your available schedule.
β’ There is no establishment of a doctor/patient relationship, and no treatment is administered. The role is strictly for advisory opinions.
β’ Average turnaround time (TAT) is between 1-5 business days, depending on the review level. While same-day cases are uncommon, they can happen. Dane Street keeps you informed about the required turnaround time and meticulously coordinates all administrative tasks, allowing you to focus on clinical decision-making.
β’ Dane Street provides a streamlined case flow and a user-friendly work portal. We handle all communication, organize and sort all medical records, support all administrative processes, extensively prepare cases, and ensure the quality and timely delivery of all determinations/reports.
β’ A chronological list of medical records, along with all treatment guidelines used for making determinations, is provided in an easily accessible, click-to-view format.
β’ In instances where peer-to-peer calls are necessary (for adverse determinations), Dane Streetβs peer coordinators will ensure provider availability.
β’ Dane Street offers initial training and provides an ongoing point of contact for any questions you may have regarding the review process.
