This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Conduct routine and advanced analytical testing and evaluations of biopharmaceutical finished products or raw materials.
• Adhere to Training SOP for training and maintain training records.
• Perform testing in accordance with established methods, following the company's Standard Operating Procedures, Deviations, Change Control programs, and cGMP guidelines.
• Collaborate as a team with fellow Analysts and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
• Ensure that work order documentation is thoroughly complete, and all results are entered into the electronic Laboratory Information System or the Client’s Certificate of Analysis prior to submission for QA review.
• Prioritize, organize, and plan daily tasks to maintain efficient workflow, ensuring the timely completion of scheduled responsibilities and adherence to established deadlines.
• Report on and assist with failure investigations as directed.
• Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, conducting calibrations and qualifications as necessary.
• Document findings in a standardized format, keeping all records and analyst notebooks organized.
• With minimal supervision, develop study protocols, study reports, forms, and SOPs.
• Record data promptly.
• Comfortable leading or participating in technical discussions with SGS clients.
• Notify the Department Manager and/or Group Leader/Scientific Leader if the assigned work order cannot be completed satisfactorily within the designated timeframe and quality expectations.
• Capable of executing method verifications, validations, and transfers based on signed protocols with minimal oversight.
• B.Sc. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or an equivalent field.
• More than 1 year of experience demonstrating the capacity to handle more complex roles and responsibilities.
• Experience with techniques such as HPLC and ELISA is considered a significant advantage.
• Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
• Exhibits excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both collaboratively and independently.
• Demonstrated time management skills and strong attention to detail.
• Performs well under pressure.
• Proven understanding of protein biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology, and/or biophysics.
• 80% coverage for Health, Dental, and Vision.
