This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Operate autonomously as the lead statistician with minimal supervision.

• Execute project statistician responsibilities, which include creating analysis databases, performing statistical analyses, and preparing formatted statistical analysis tables and summaries.

• Offer mentorship and support to junior team members.

• Ensure adherence to departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) and established statistical analysis and programming methods.

• Lead project teams, facilitate team meetings, maintain project schedules, evaluate resource needs, allocate resources, and formulate project budgets.

• Engage directly with sponsors regarding the statistical components of assigned projects.

• Collaborate with programmers and data management staff on database upkeep, updates, and documentation.

• Provide insights on the database structures necessary for statistical analyses.

• Conduct sample size calculations and assess protocols for clinical study design and statistical methodology.

• Create randomization plans and related documentation.

• Formulate statistical analysis plans, specifications for analysis databases, and table and listing specifications.

• Program and/or validate statistical tables, particularly for efficacy endpoints, while overseeing associated programming and validation efforts.

• Review reports, documents, and manuscripts; contribute to the statistical methods sections and ensure statistical completeness and consistency.

• Monitor project budgets and inform management of any potential scope changes.

• Provide departmental infrastructure support through presentations, training, departmental documentation and policies, newsletters or libraries, and onboarding assistance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Mathematics, or a similar field.

• Over 2 years of pertinent experience.

• Strong SAS® programming capabilities, including proficiency in BASE, STAT, MACRO, and GRAPH.

• Comprehensive understanding of database structures.

• Solid grasp of statistical principles and proven statistical capabilities.

• Ability to mentor and foster effective teamwork within a multidisciplinary setting.

• Capability to develop study specifications and assist in reviewing data management documentation.

• Demonstrated project management skills, evidenced by the successful handling of multiple projects and priorities.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Proficiency in the English language.

• Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to adapt and respond to changing priorities.

• Positive, collaborative demeanor and the ability to work efficiently with colleagues, project teams, and sponsors.
