Biostatistician II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Ensure adherence to departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs) and protocols for statistical analyses and programming tasks.

• Lead project teams by conducting team meetings, managing project timelines, evaluating resources, preparing budgets, and maintaining project documentation.

• Engage with sponsors on all facets of projects.

• Collaborate with programmers and data management staff regarding database maintenance, updates, and documentation.

• Offer guidance on database structures for analysis purposes.

• Conduct sample size calculations and review protocols for thoroughness, clinical design, and statistical analysis.

• Develop randomization schemes and maintain relevant documentation.

• Create statistical analysis plans, including specifications for analysis databases, tables, and listings.

• Assist team members in executing statistical analysis plans.

• Program and validate statistical tables, especially concerning efficacy endpoints.

• Document and supervise programming and validation processes.

• Review reports, documents, and manuscripts; contribute to the statistical methods sections while ensuring completeness and consistency.

• Track project budgets in relation to the work scope and inform management of any potential scope changes.

• Provide departmental infrastructure support, which includes creating presentations, conducting training, developing departmental documents or policies, managing newsletters, maintaining libraries, and onboarding new hires.

• Mentor junior team members.

• Prior experience that equips the candidate with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to fulfill the role (equivalent to 2+ years).

• A Master's degree in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, or a related field.
