This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Navigate through hospitals and healthcare clinics to identify medical devices.
• Conduct physical inventory, installing tracking devices and beacons.
• Evaluate, test, and carry out preventative maintenance on medical equipment at customer facilities.
• Accurately record service actions in a digital work order.
• Exemplify a ‘customer is 1st’ culture by taking ownership, acting ethically, and solving problems.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) and safety inspections on a range of medical equipment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and execute basic repairs and adjustments to restore equipment functionality.
• Perform physical inventory and asset tracking of medical devices within healthcare settings.
• Install and maintain tracking devices and beacons to ensure comprehensive facility coverage.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation, including work orders, PM checklists, and service reports in the Service Information System.
• Adhere to manufacturer specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate service schedules with clinical staff to minimize disruption to patient care.
• Maintain an inventory of tools, parts, and testing equipment necessary for service delivery.
• Offer basic end-user support and training on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Follow established procedures to test, diagnose, recertify, and assess devices.
• Escalate complex repairs or safety issues to senior technical staff or management.
• Travel to customer locations locally or nationally, with assignments potentially requiring extended onsite stays.
• A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation with active auto insurance.
• Real ID (effective May 2025) or a valid U.S. Passport.
• An associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical training).
• 1–3+ years of experience in biomedical equipment service is preferred (entry-level candidates with strong technical training will be considered).
• Experience in performing preventative maintenance on clinical or hospital equipment.
• Familiarity with infusion or oncology-related devices is preferred.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• High School diploma or GED is required; additional education is preferred.
