This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Responds to service requests to assess, diagnose, and carry out repairs and planned maintenance (PM) on customers' basic biomedical equipment.
• Enhances customer satisfaction through exceptional service delivery.
• Under supervision, evaluates fundamental customer biomedical equipment problems, implements necessary repairs, and conducts PM and safety/environmental inspections as assigned.
• May collaborate with more experienced technicians on basic and more intricate repairs and resolutions.
• Communicates effectively and collaborates with team members and colleagues.
• Adheres to relevant GE policies, procedures, hospital protocols, and completes requisite documentation.
• Maintains daily communication with customers as directed to ensure problem resolution and proper follow-up, fostering strong customer relationships and ongoing satisfaction.
• Functions as part of a local team to deliver efficient service to all accounts within the designated area.
• When trained, will share on-call responsibilities.
• Records all repair activities and submits reports/summaries according to the established schedule.
• Ensures the proper care of spare parts, tools, and testing equipment, while also ensuring calibration.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent military education; OR participation in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program; OR High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT, or mechanical equipment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical issues to customers in a comprehensible manner.
• Must pass GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
• Must adhere to all customer access policies, which include obtaining and/or providing proof of necessary immunizations, and additional drug tests or background checks.
