This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Performs technical investigations, analyses, and testimonies related to commercial and personal injury litigation, as well as failure analysis involving medical equipment and associated procedural challenges within hospital or healthcare environments.
• Conducts human-injury impact analysis for vehicular accidents, amusement park ride incidents, and cases involving falls or falling objects by executing occupant motion studies to assess injury risk and causation, seatbelt usage, airbag interaction effects, and determining occupant positions.
• Responsibilities include utilizing computer and physical models to reconstruct accidents, measure loads and injury levels, and prepare detailed written reports of findings.
• A minimum of a master’s degree in biomedical or biomechanical engineering; a Ph.D. is highly preferred.
• A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred, or the capability to obtain it within one year.
• At least 4+ years of experience in biomedical engineering or biomechanical engineering with a master’s degree, although candidates with a Ph.D. may qualify with less experience.
• ACTAR certification is preferred or the ability to secure it within six months.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
• A background in forensic engineering is preferred.
• Strong cognitive problem-solving skills are required.
• Experience in anatomy, teaching, or the automotive industry is advantageous.
• Proficiency in general PC applications and software is necessary.
