BIM Associate Director – Mechanical Focus

📋 Description

• The BIM Associate Director with a Mechanical Focus will frequently engage with Senior Directors, Directors, other Associate Directors, and the Executive Team on various functional areas, divisions, and/or clients.

• This position is accountable for strategic direction, quality assurance, and the execution of all mechanical BIM operations within the Design Department.

• The role collaborates closely with other discipline BIM leaders and the Executive Team to develop, enhance, and implement BIM standards, technology strategies, and delivery workflows that elevate the firm’s digital design and coordination capabilities.

• The BIM Associate Director, specializing in Mechanical Focus, supervises the performance, training, and development of mechanical BIM users, ensuring that project execution meets DLB’s standards for technical accuracy, constructability, and client value.

• This individual is instrumental in fostering cross-departmental collaboration, leading digital transformation initiatives, and achieving project delivery excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, architectural engineering, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of thirteen (13) years of experience in mechanical design and BIM management.

• Proven leadership in the implementation of BIM across various projects and teams.

• Professional Engineer (PE) or an equivalent registration is preferred.

• Autodesk Revit Professional Certification or equivalent experience is mandatory.
