
Billing/Scheduling Associate II – Neurology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather insurance details from patients and provide guidance on alternative financial aid options.
• Liaise with physicians and clinical personnel to support urgent or referred patient appointment requests.
• Schedule and register patients via phone or email, without direct patient interaction.
• Collect patient demographic data and insurance registration information.
• Review schedules for new patients and make necessary updates.
• Contact patients to remind them of appointments and gather insurance details and referral forms.
• Manage internal physician referrals for clinical care.
• Clarify the billing process to patients and staff.
• Respond to incoming inquiries from patients and third-party payers.
• Assist with basic account maintenance tasks.
• Aid patients with inquiries related to insurance and billing.
• Support staff with reminder cards and other scheduling responsibilities.
• Work with the Relatient patient reminder system results and reach out to patients or adjust scheduling as needed.
• Make daily modifications and temporary adjustments to provider scheduling templates based on physician feedback when necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to address moderately complex issues.
• High school diploma or an equivalent certification, or a mix of education and/or experience.
• Three years of relevant experience.
• No specific certification or professional license is required.
• A driver's license is not mandatory.
• Preferred knowledge of billing systems, customer service, Epic EHR, financial information, insurance processes, medical office support, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, organizational skills, prioritization, scheduling, and handling third-party claims.
• Capability to satisfactorily perform essential functions.
• Successful completion of necessary pre-employment screenings for external candidates, including a criminal background check and, where applicable, other background checks, drug screening, employment verification, education or licensure/certification checks, physical examination, vaccinations, and/or governmental registry checks.
