This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Collect insurance details from patients and provide guidance on available financial assistance options.
β’ Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to facilitate urgent or referred patient scheduling needs.
β’ Schedule and register patients via phone or email, ensuring the collection of demographic and insurance details.
β’ Review and update new-patient schedules as necessary.
β’ Contact patients to remind them of appointments and gather insurance information along with referral forms.
β’ Handle internal physician referrals for clinical care.
β’ Clarify billing procedures to patients and staff, addressing inquiries from patients and third-party payers.
β’ Assist with fundamental account maintenance tasks.
β’ Aid patients with insurance-related billing questions.
β’ Support staff with reminder cards and various scheduling responsibilities.
β’ Utilize the Relatient patient reminder system results to contact patients or adjust scheduling as needed.
β’ Make daily modifications and temporary adjustments to provider scheduling templates based on physician feedback.
β’ Collaborate with team members to resolve moderately complex issues.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent certification or a combination of education and/or experience.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
β’ Capability to obtain insurance information and advise patients on financial assistance.
β’ Familiarity with billing systems, customer service, Epic EHR, financial information, insurance, medical office support, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, organizational skills, prioritization, scheduling, and third-party claims.
β’ No specific certification or professional license is required.
β’ A driver's license is not necessary.
