Billing Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications utilizing C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, ASP.NET Core MVC, and Web APIs.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code adhering to best practices and coding standards.

• Develop queries, stored procedures, and data models.

• Engage in system design, architecture discussions, and solution planning.

• Implement secure and scalable design patterns, including dependency injection, configuration management, and logging.

• Integrate applications with databases, cloud services, third-party APIs, and identity providers.

• Enhance existing applications by developing additional features.

• Investigate and resolve defects in the established system.

• Deliver operationally stable software and contribute to maintaining uptime.

• Assist with month-end closures and ensure compliance with internal controls, which may occasionally require working evenings or weekends.

• Configure new billing models.

• Analyze large datasets to identify and troubleshoot billing discrepancies.

• Help define non-functional requirements and build systems capable of fulfilling them.

• Enhance the automation of our CI/CD processes.

• Deliver API-enabled components.

• Migrate legacy applications to the cloud.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience.

• Solid understanding of Transact-SQL.

• Strong proficiency in .NET/C# and ASP.NET WebAPI (or ASP.NET Core).

• Proficiency in English.

• Knowledge of the German language is a plus.

• Experience with C#, TDD/BDD, SQL Server databases, and REST/SOAP web services.

• Capability to create PowerBI/JasperReport reports.

• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
